Hamas, Islamic Jihad Support Resistance against Zionist Regime in West Bank
Hazem Qassem said in a statement that it showed the Zionist regime’s inability to prevent the spread of resistance despite widespread assassinations and arrests, palinfo.com reported.
He said the Palestinians’ operations against the Zionist forces are a natural response to the occupation and the regime’s aggression on the Palestinian land and sanctities.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Jihad movement called on Palestinian people to hold programs on Friday in support of the courageous resistance of the people of Jenin.
The movement said it would organize rallies on Friday in all cities of the Gaza Strip.
It said Palestinians’ unity around the resistance will guarantee the defeat of the enemy.
Palestinians have ramped up their retaliatory attacks against Israeli forces in recent weeks, carrying out a series of operations that have killed at least 11 Israelis since March 22. Eight Palestinians have also been killed during the same period.
Last week, a Palestinian man identified as Diaa Hamarsheh killed five Israelis, including a policeman, before being shot dead in the ultra-orthodox town of Bnei Brak east of Tel Aviv.
The operation came days after two Palestinian gunmen killed two Israeli forces and wounded four others in a shooting attack in the northern Israeli city of Hadera before being shot dead.
